The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has confirmed that it will hear the appeal involving the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), CAF, and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) on 8 October 2026 in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The appeal challenges CAF’s decision to award the AFCON 2025 final to Morocco by a 3-0 forfeit, following the ruling that Senegal had forfeited the match.
Senegal is asking CAS to overturn CAF’s decision and declare the Teranga Lions as the rightful AFCON 2025 champions.
The hearing will be held behind closed doors, and CAS has stressed that no final verdict will be issued on the day of the hearing.
CAS has also urged the public to disregard misinformation circulating online, stating that only updates published through its official channels should be considered authoritative.
