Accra Hearts of Oak has answered back to their former trainer W.O Tandoh’s allegations levelled against them and some club officials.
On Wednesday 28th September 2022, W.O Tando had a radio interview with Ghanaian local station Happy FM in Accra, the Aduana Stars assistant coach descended heavily on the club with curses and also used unpleasant words towards some of the club officials.
The Aduana Stars deputy coach accused board members, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, Vincent Sowah Odotei, and Alhaji Akambi of destroying the club, With a keen interest in the current happenings at Hearts of Oak, he boldly stated that Nyaho-Tamakloe’s mind is asleep.
“I said Nyaho-Tamakloe’s mind is asleep. He is my father, brother but if he will let those two people control him then they have nowhere to go. When they lose the next five matches then the new coach that will be appointed should also be sacked. If they refuse, we will wake up because I am a shareholder”, He said this during an interview with Happy FM on Wednesday evening.
“Hearts of Oak will lose five matches on a roll. Crucify me if they pick a winner”, he swears.
Hearts of Oak indicated that Tandoh’s comments about the club were unfortunate, unacceptable, and very unprofessional.
“It came as shocking news to all true meaning Phobians when our former welfare and fitness trainer W. O 1 Paul Tandoh, now an assistant coach at Aduana Stars took to the radio to descend on the club with his curses and used unpalatable words at some of our leaders”, A club statement said.
“As a club, we find his comments as rather unfortunate and unacceptable and very unprofessional because we believe at this point in his professional career he should know better and be as discipline as a real soldier will always be.
“Our destiny can NEVER be in the hands of W. O Tandoh for him to say Hearts will lose our next five matches. If indeed he has any such authority to decide the fortunes of men, we urge him to deploy that to help his team win every game in every competition. At Hearts, what we believe in is that we strive to win our games since we believe matches are won based on good preparation and good performance and not through any others means.
“At Hearts of Oak we respect our leaders and we expect he, W.O Tandoh to do the same because these same leaders gave him the platform to enhance his career and therefore do not deserve those unwarranted comments from a man with a military background where discipline is core in all of their activities.
“We urge him to needfully retract his”, Hearts of Oak SC.
W.O Tandoh is currently an assistant coach at Dormaa base giants Aduana Stars.
