Asante Kotoko Sporting Club had to settle for a 1-1 draw against newly-promoted side, Young Apostles in their first home game of the season at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The game that recorded an impressive attendance began with high press but both teams missed several scoring chances to end the first 45 minutes goalless.
However, it was the visitors who scored first during the 51st minute through Daniel Lomotey
The Porcupine Warriors then then took the game to the their opponents and levelled the scoreline 25 minutes later courtesy Emmanuel Antwi.
The clash was an open affair as either side could have won the maximum points but poor finishing led them to share spoils on Matchday 3 of the Ghana Premier League.
The former GPL champions are sixth in the standings wth four points from two games, two behind leaders Gold Stars.
Young Apostles find themselves 13th on the league table from three games.
Kotoko will next make the trip to face Berekum Chelse as Young Apostles host Aduana Stars at home.
