Kotoku Royals hosted ex-GPL side International Allies at the Oda Sports Stadium for the week 10 Division League Fixture in Zone 3.
The Inter Allies left Accra with a dream to battle the Royals for the first time in the Division One League following their demotion/relegation from the GPL last season.
The former GPL side missed out on the chance to win the maximum points after settling for a 1-1 stalemate with Kotoku Royals on Saturday at the Oda Sports Stadium.
Alex Aso’s first-half strike was canceled out by a stunning strike from Kotoku Royals captain Richard Dzikoe known as Oda Vinicius.
Dzikoe has maintained his top form since joining the Division One side, having called to the Ghana U-20 national team (before the U-20 AFCON last year) but was left behind due to an injury.
The 21-year old attacker is the all-time top scorer for the Oda-based club and a deputy captain.
He has emerged as Man Of The Match twice this season out of eight games with four goals and two assists in the ongoing DOL.
He’s had an offer(s) from some GPL clubs last season but his terms with the Royals did not enable him to make the move.
Currently, Kotoku Royals sit on the second place on the table with 20points.
