Premier League giants Asante Kotoko has expressed “deepest and most sincere condolences to the family of the late Stephen Owusu”, the club’s former striker.
The late Stephen Owusu was an integral member of the Porcupine Warriors for three seasons between the years 2002-2005. News of the Owusu’s demise was announced on Saturday, October 24, 2020 by his sister Abigail Comfort Owusu via Facebook. ”Fare thee my brother”, Abigail wrote on Facebook on Saturday.
His former club Asante Kotoko have received the news with regrets, and has expressed their condolences of the family of their former striker.
“Our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family of the late Stephen Owusu. May the soul of our former player Rest In Peace”, Asante Kotoko wrote on Twitter.
According to reports, Owusu, who also played for other two Ghanaian clubs Heart of Lions and Accra Celtics, has been bedridden for some time now after contracting an illness in Kenya.
