Fiorentina have confirmed parting ways with Ghanaian full-back Tariq Lamptey, after a short stint.
Both parties met early this week, and agreed to end their relationship following the injury concerns of the defender who joined the Italian club in September 2025 before start of 2025/26 league season.
His ruptured anterior crucial ligament (ACL) nightmare injury, led to Tariq accepting to mutually part ways with the club.
The Ghana international who completed a €6m move plus add-ons from Fiorentina to Brighton and Hove Albion made just two league appearance, but unfortunately sustaining an injury hence making only 26 minutes game time.
This injury has ruled Tariq Lamptey from the 2026 FIFA World Cup though he’s expected to return in early July.
