Ghanaian coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has expressed optimism about Ghana’s prospects at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, revealing Coach Carlos Queiroz tactics will definitely come to life at the tournament.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak SC gaffer pointed to the positive atmosphere within the Black Stars camp as a key indicator ahead of Ghana’s Group L opened against Panama.
Coach Carlos and the entire team is currently in the United States putting together their finishing touches for the Mundial after staying in Cardiff for almost a week.
Dramani, having watched the team from afar believes the environment offers focus and well determined spirit ahead of the task in USA, Canada and Mexico.
“The energy in the Black Stars squad for the World Cup is marvellous, and Carlos Queiroz will do his best to organise the team, stay compact defensively, and avoid conceding goals in the tournament,” he said.
Ghana will compete in Group L alongside Panama, England and Croatia.
Ghana will begin its World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 at BMO Field before facing England six days later at Gillette Stadium. The Black Stars will then conclude their group-stage fixtures with a clash against Croatia on June 27.
The four-time African champions are aiming to reach the knockout rounds for the first time, since their memorable quarter-final run at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
After disappointing group-stage exit in both 2014 and 2022, expectations are high for Ghana to make a stronger impact this time around.
