Former Paris Saint Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is backing Ghana to unsettle England and Croatia at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, co-hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada.
Ghana is housed in Group L, alongside England, Croatia and Panama. With Ghana making their fifth appearance at the Mundial, is believed to have gathered experience for the tournament.
Zlatan who played for English giant’s Manchester United FC is convinced with the huge talents of Ghana, will be the team to disturb England and Croatia for points as far as qualification from the group phase is concerned.
He insisted Panama will be the punching bag in the group.
“I would like to choose Group L, where England is…Is it coming home? We have Ghana, big talents let’s see what they bring. There is Panama, unfortunately in this group, they will be a punching bag”.
“England and Croatia will fight for the first point“And Ghana might disturb England and Croatia and take some points,” the Swedish Legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic said on Fox Sports during game analysis.
Ghana who has four Africa titles to their name and becoming the first African country to book a place at the FIFA World Cup quarter finals will begin their campaign against Panama at BMO Field on June 17 before facing England at Gillette Stadium on June 23.
Their final group-stage fixture will be against Croatia on June 27.
