Ahead of their participation in the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup competition, Ghana’s Ashantigold SC has grabbed a new kit sponsorship deal for themselves, and the club has described the deal as having come “at the right time”.

The Obuasi based premier league giants secured a three years kit sponsorship deal with UK based sports kits manufacturers iGimel Sportswear, and the club has expressed delight over the deal with will see their players appear as one the be usual best club in appearance in the continental competition.

Speaking exclusively to ghanasportspage.com on Tuesday, the club’s head of Communications, Daniel Bioh confirmed the deal, giving some details a mention. Ashantigold SC, the ‘Miners’ as they are known, had their kits sponsorship deal with Scottish kits manufacturers Pokoo terminated, and were sweating on how to land a replacement deal for Pokoo.

The club has almost spontaniously secured another kit sponsorship deal which will keep the team in good shape going into the confederation Cup competition, and Bioh has admitted that the deal has come just “at the right time”.

“We have reached an agreement with iGimel Sportswear from UK and they will be our partners for a period of three years during which they’ll suplly kits for the team”, Director of Communications, Daniel Bioh confirmed to ghanasportspage.com.

According to Bioh, the deal comes in as a positive news for the club and that it is spot on. He also confirmed that the deal comes with financial benefits for both parties, but such details are confidential which cannot be made public due to the contractual terms.

“I think it’s a positive thing or us based on the fact that it has come in the right time as part of our preparations to Africa. We hope we can all benefit going into the future”, he said.

Asked of the financial details aside the kits to be provided by iGimel, Bioh declined to provide the details, describing them as confidential.

“There financial entitlements to go for the club, likewise to the partner, but these are confidential issues that we cannot talk about. What I know is that it is something which can bring benefits to the club and iGimel Sportswear as well”, he concluded.
